International Media Support honours the hundreds of Palestinian journalists killed by Israel both before and after October 2023. [Marking World Press Freedom Day] IMS’ partner Visualizing Palestine has – once again – updated their chilling visual to have it reflect the shameful continuation of Israel’s targeting, killing and silencing of journalists.
In this fourth update of the visual, Killing the Story, we honour the hundreds of Palestinian journalists killed by Israel. These journalists documented atrocities as they unfolded — voices that the Israeli regime systematically continues to silence.
We use data and research to visually communicate Palestinian experiences to provoke narrative change. We envision a liberated future for Palestinians in a world free from oppression.
Visualizing Palestine creates narrative interventions that convey the urgent and the actionable. We strive to capture not just stories of struggle, but of solidarity, sumud (steadfastness) and inspiration. Our visual tools ensure that factual, liberatory narratives about Palestine are visible, accessible and interconnected with those of other movements working for collective liberation.
Visualizing Palestine is a multidisciplinary team that collaborates remotely from Palestine, Egypt, Lebanon, and North America.
